It reads incoming and sent correspondence, and it treats an unclosed loop as the unit of work.
Which clients are waiting on you
A question asked and not answered is an obligation you hold. It is raised with the client's own sentence quoted and dated, so you can see how long they have actually been waiting rather than how long it feels.
What you committed to in writing
Your own sent mail is where most of what you owe is recorded. "I'll send you a draft this week" is a commitment, and it comes back to you in your own words with the date.
What you requested and never received
You asked the client for the signed engagement letter, the statement, the document. Nothing came. That absence generates no notification anywhere — it is precisely the thing GoalRunner holds and returns at a stated time.

It cannot send correspondence
GoalRunner prepares drafts. Every message that leaves your account was read and sent by you. There is no autonomous mode at any setting — nothing goes to a client, a court, or opposing counsel without you.
It gives no advice and reaches no conclusions about a matter
It tells you who is waiting and what was said. It does not analyse a matter, interpret a document, or suggest a position. What it advises is an act of correspondence — reply, follow up — never a substantive one.
It does not read your documents
GoalRunner reaches its conclusions from the text of your correspondence. It records that an attachment exists — name, type and size — and never opens, reads or interprets what is inside: it does not read a PDF, a contract, a filing or a statement to decide anything. When you open a conversation that has an attachment, GoalRunner fetches the file from Gmail so it can put a working download in front of you. It does not open, read or interpret what is inside, and it keeps no copy. A file over its size limit is never requested at all.
Your correspondence changes only at your instruction
No rules, no automatic filing, no background tidying. Marking something done records the outcome in GoalRunner and changes nothing in your mail. GoalRunner can carry out mailbox operations — a label, a draft — only at the moment you press it to; it never acts on its own or on a schedule.
On confidentiality, plainly. The text of your mail is sent to OpenAI's API, which acts as our service provider for the step that works out whether a message carries an obligation and to whom; our published privacy policy states that we do not use your mail to train any model and do not send it to anyone for that purpose, and it names every third party that receives any of it. UnKAnscious holds no security certifications today — not SOC 2, not ISO 27001, not HIPAA — and we are not going to imply otherwise on a web page. Whether that is compatible with your professional and ethical obligations, your engagement letters, and your firm's own policies is a determination for you, not for us, and we would rather you made it before connecting an account than after.

No customer discovery has been conducted with this audience. This page describes the product's designed behaviour and nothing else — no results, no adoption, no quotes.
- It is not a practice management system, and it does not connect to one. No integration with case management, docketing, time and billing, or document management. Gmail is the only source it reads.
- It does not know your docket or your deadlines. It has no access to court systems and no calendar. A statutory or court deadline that lives outside your mail is invisible to it, and it will never imply that it is watching one.
- It gives no legal, tax, or professional advice, and reaches no conclusion about a matter. Its counsel is limited to acts of correspondence.
- It does not read documents to reach conclusions. Name, type and size only. It does fetch the file itself when you open a conversation that has one attached, so it can hand you a working download — and it keeps no copy.
- It does not report on your associates, paralegals or staff. One mailbox, one person's own obligations.
- UnKAnscious holds no security certifications. Whether GoalRunner is compatible with your confidentiality obligations is your determination to make, and we would rather you made it first.

GoalRunner makes claims only about the sources you have connected. Today that is Gmail, and nothing else. A promise made on a phone call, a text message, or in a system GoalRunner cannot read is outside what it watches — and it will tell you so rather than imply otherwise.

Questions practitioners ask
Is this compatible with my confidentiality and professional obligations?
That is your determination, and we will give you what you need to make it rather than an assurance. The facts. Your mail stays in Gmail and is not moved. GoalRunner works from message text and never opens, reads or interprets attachment contents — though it does fetch the file when you open a conversation that has one attached, so it can hand you a download, keeping no copy. The text of your mail is sent to OpenAI's API, which acts as our service provider for that step, and our privacy policy states we do not use your mail to train any model or send it to anyone for that purpose. Disconnecting Gmail deletes the credential but does not by itself delete what GoalRunner has already recorded; revoking our access at Google is the authoritative way to end it; there is no automatic deletion schedule, and deletion is done by hand, in writing, when you ask. To check the product's accuracy we keep frozen copies of real mail in a private, access-controlled store and a person reads them — only for a mailbox whose owner has agreed to it. And UnKAnscious holds no security certifications today. If your engagement letters or your firm's policy restrict the processors you may use, or bar a third party from reading client correspondence, that should be settled before an account is connected, not after. Does it track court deadlines or my docket?
No. It has no connection to court systems, no docketing, and no calendar access. It reads mail. If a deadline exists only in a docket, GoalRunner does not know it exists and will never suggest that it does.
Will it read the contracts and filings attached to my mail?
Not to reach any conclusion. It records that an attachment exists — its name, its type, its size — and never opens, reads or interprets what is inside. When you open a conversation that has an attachment, GoalRunner fetches the file from Gmail so it can put a working download in front of you. It does not open, read or interpret what is inside, and it keeps no copy. A file over its size limit is never requested at all.
Can it reply to a client or to opposing counsel for me?
No. It prepares drafts. Everything that leaves your account was read and sent by you. There is no setting that changes this.
Does it give any opinion on the substance of a matter?
No, and it is designed not to. It says who is waiting and what was written. What it recommends is an act of correspondence — reply, follow up — never a position, an interpretation, or a course of action on the matter itself.
Can my firm use it — can I see what my associates owe?
No. GoalRunner works on one person's mailbox and reports on that person's own obligations. There is no firm view, no shared queue, and no supervision feature.
Can it help with conflicts checking or intake?
No. It does not perform conflicts checks, it does not screen intake, and it should not be relied on for either.
What does it cost?
There is no published price. GoalRunner is in Private Alpha and pricing will be set with the first customers rather than announced at them.

Do you have SOC 2, ISO 27001, or HIPAA compliance?
No. UnKAnscious holds no security certifications today, and we will not imply otherwise while a page is easier to write than an audit is to pass. What we can show you is how the product is built and what it is allowed to do. If a certification is a condition of you using it, tell us — that is useful information and we would rather hear it early.
Is my mail used to train AI models?
No. In the words of our published privacy policy: we do not use your mail to train any model, and we do not send it to anyone for that purpose. What does happen is that GoalRunner sends the text of a message to OpenAI's API to work out whether it contains an obligation and to whom — OpenAI acts as our service provider for that step and returns the answer to us. Your information is never sold, and it is not used to build a product for anyone else. The privacy page names every third party that receives any of it, and we would rather you read it than take a slogan for it.
Can my team use it? Can I see what my staff owe?
Not today. GoalRunner works on one person's mailbox and reports on that person's obligations — what you owe and what you are owed. It does not report on other people's commitments and there is no shared queue, no delegation, and no manager view.
