What GoalRunner notices
It reads the mail you receive and the mail you send, because most of what you owe is in something you wrote.
What you promised
A sentence in your own sent mail — "I'll get you the deck by Friday", "let me check and come back to you" — is a commitment you made. GoalRunner treats it as one, with your own words quoted back and the date you wrote them.
What never came back
The hardest thing to notice is an absence: you asked, and nothing arrived. GoalRunner holds the open loop and brings it back at a stated time — "you asked for the countersignature on the 3rd; nine days, no reply" — rather than waiting for you to remember.
What it will cost to keep waiting
Order comes from consequence, not from recency and not from how urgent the sender made the subject line sound. The thing at the top is the thing that costs the most to leave.
Everything it decided not to raise
Every message it set aside is recorded with the reason, and you can read the whole list any time. Silence you cannot inspect is indistinguishable from failure, so it is inspectable.

Start without triaging
You open it and read one sentence: how many things need you today. Not a list of twenty to rank — the ranking is the work it is doing for you.

Each item arrives with who it is with, what was actually said, dated and quoted, and what GoalRunner advises doing next in plain words. Where a reply is the right move, the draft is already written from the real thread.
Put something down properly
Done, or waiting on someone else, or never yours. A decision you make is remembered and is not put back in front of you next week. That is what makes the pile shrink instead of rotate.
Get a real end to the day
When the last one clears, it says so — and it says what it means: finished with respect to the mail it watches. A bounded statement you can check is a statement you can eventually stop checking.

The design principle is one line: it may understand a great deal, and it may do almost nothing.
Every send is yours
GoalRunner drafts. You read it and you press send. There is no autonomous mode to leave switched off, because there is not one to switch on.
Your mail is not moved or changed
Marking something done records the outcome in GoalRunner and touches nothing in Gmail. Where GoalRunner does act on the mailbox — a label, a draft — it acts at the moment you press it to, never on its own and never in the background.
You decide who matters
GoalRunner will not decide that an investor outranks your sister. It ranks by what it costs not to act, never by what kind of relationship it is. That is written into the product's constitution, not a preference you have to find.
Every claim is one press from its evidence
Nothing is asserted that cannot be shown. If you disagree with a conclusion, the messages behind it are right there, unedited.
A realistic morning
Illustrative, not a customer story. This is the shape of the loop, with the numbers left out because the numbers would be invented.

The fundraise
Investor threads run for months with long gaps. What was promised in the meeting, what diligence material is still outstanding, and who has gone quiet since — held, and returned when the gap becomes meaningful.
Hiring
Candidates waiting on a decision are the most expensive silence a company produces. The open loops in a hiring process are open loops in your mail, which is where GoalRunner can see them.
Customer commitments
The pricing question you said you would check, the feature you said you would ask about, the call you said you would set up — surfaced in your own words, with the date you said it.
Your own advisors
Lawyer, accountant, bookkeeper, insurance broker. You are usually the one waiting, and the thing you are waiting on is usually the thing you forget you are waiting on.
Delegation that did not land
You asked someone to handle something and never heard back. GoalRunner holds the ask and brings it back — not as a report on that person, but as a loop of yours that is still open.
The end of the day
The evening question is different from the morning one: is anything I owed still undischarged, and is anything I am owed now late? Same four terms, same bound.
What GoalRunner will not do for you
Read this part twice. It is cheaper to know now than to find out in week two.
This page describes the product's designed behaviour. GoalRunner has been run against a co-founder's own mailbox, and that is the environment the product's measurements come from. That is a system being run — not a person using it daily, and not a customer. There are no customer results, because there are no customers yet.
- It reads Gmail, and nothing else. Not your calendar, not Slack, not your CRM, not text messages. A commitment you made on a phone call is invisible to it, and it will not pretend otherwise.
- It reports on you, not on your team. GoalRunner tells you what you owe and what you are owed. There is no shared queue, no delegation, and no view of what your staff have or have not done.
- It does not manage your inbox. No rules, no automatic filing, no background tidying, and nothing reorganised while you are not looking. Your mail stays where it is.
- It is one person's workspace. One mailbox, one account. Multiple accounts and team use are not available today.
- It has no price yet, and no self-serve sign-up. Private Alpha access is granted one account at a time.
GoalRunner makes claims only about the sources you have connected. Today that is Gmail, and nothing else. A promise made on a phone call, a text message, or in a system GoalRunner cannot read is outside what it watches — and it will tell you so rather than imply otherwise.
GoalRunner prepares. You decide. Every outgoing message is a draft that you read and send yourself. There is no autonomous send to switch off, because there is no autonomous send.
GoalRunner is early software in Private Alpha, tested with real mailboxes and real workloads. Access is limited on purpose while reliability and usefulness are proven. There is no published price and no self-serve sign-up.
Questions founders ask
I already have a task manager. Why would I add this?
A task manager is a container you fill. Everything in it got there because you remembered to put it there, which means it can only ever hold what you already knew. GoalRunner derives the work from the evidence — including the promise you made in a reply at 11pm and forgot by morning — and it never asks you to enter anything by hand.
My inbox has thousands of unread messages. Does that break it?
No. Volume is what it is for. The point is not to get the count to zero; it is to tell you the few things in there that actually need a decision, and to show you what it set aside so you can check that judgement.
Will it email people for me while I'm in meetings?
No. It prepares drafts. Every message that leaves your account is one you read and sent. This is a deliberate design position, not a feature waiting to be finished.
Can I use it across my work and personal accounts?
Not today. GoalRunner works on one connected Gmail account. If the thing you are worried about is in the other one, it will not be seen — which is exactly why every statement it makes says which mailbox it is talking about.
How does it decide what comes first?
By what it costs not to act — how long something has been open, what was promised, what happens if it keeps waiting. Not by recency, not by volume, and never by who the person is. A subject line in capital letters buys nothing.
What if it is wrong?
Then you can see that it is wrong, in one press, because the evidence is attached to every claim. Missing something is a defect we take seriously; inventing something is worse, so on a quiet day it says nothing rather than manufacturing a task to justify the visit.
What does it cost?
There is no published price. GoalRunner is in Private Alpha and pricing will be set with the first customers rather than announced at them.

Can GoalRunner send email on my behalf?
No. It can prepare a draft with the conversation's context already in it. You read it and you press send. Nothing leaves your account that you did not send.
Can my team use it? Can I see what my staff owe?
Not today. GoalRunner works on one person's mailbox and reports on that person's obligations — what you owe and what you are owed. It does not report on other people's commitments and there is no shared queue, no delegation, and no manager view.
Do you have SOC 2, ISO 27001, or HIPAA compliance?
No. UnKAnscious holds no security certifications today, and we will not imply otherwise while a page is easier to write than an audit is to pass. What we can show you is how the product is built and what it is allowed to do. If a certification is a condition of you using it, tell us — that is useful information and we would rather hear it early.
